Kids & UFC

When my son E was 4 years old and A was 5 years old, I spent a lot of time hanging with friends who watched every UFC PPV. I took flack for my kids seeing violence and combat from concerned family and friends. Most of the time my kids didn’t pay much attention. They occasionally wrestled, but never more than what I expected from young boys.

One day, the A was picking on E. I saw E begin to fight back. E grabbed A under both thighs and began to lift while shoving his shoulder into A’s chest. This was a beautiful double leg take down technique. As E drove his brother towards the ground. I saw my laptop open upright on it’s side directly in the path of the take down. In a split second my laptop was laying face down and my screen detached from the base.

In shock, horror and pride, my son just completed the most beautiful double leg take down I’d ever seen out of my boys. The laptop ended up being torn apart. It suffered multiple breaks in the plastic frame on both the base and the screen side. A lot of ABS cement to rebuild and reinforce plastic and screws through entire laptop turned it into a frankenstein laptop.
